In October 2023, the average import price for waste, parings and scrap, of plasticses amounted to $289 per ton, reducing by -9.7% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 24% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $604 per ton in October 2022; however, from November 2022 to October 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Finland ($294 per ton), while the price for Norway ($184 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+19.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
