In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 7.8% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $562 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to October 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was France ($803 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($428 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+13.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
