The average winding wire of copper export price stood at $11,839 per ton in June 2023, increasing by 1.8% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 an increase of 4.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $12,082 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to June 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Poland ($13,681 per ton), while the average price for exports to Libya ($8,990 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Libya (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
