Price for Winding Wire of Copper in Serbia (FOB) - 2024
The average winding wire of copper export price stood at $9,925 per ton in January 2024, remaining constant against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 1.6% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $10,723 per ton. From May 2023 to January 2024, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In January 2024, the highest price was recorded for prices to Hungary ($10,276 per ton) and Slovakia ($9,994 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($9,660 per ton) and the Czech Republic ($9,705 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hungary (-0.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In January 2024, the average winding wire of copper import price amounted to $11,744 per ton, reducing by -17.9% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2023 an increase of 27% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $14,309 per ton, and then contracted significantly in the following month.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2024, the highest price was recorded for prices from Spain ($12,153 per ton) and Germany ($11,925 per ton), while the price for Slovenia ($9,146 per ton) and Italy ($10,802 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
