Price for Winding Wire of Copper in Thailand (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average winding wire of copper export price amounted to $10,265 per ton, declining by -7.5% against the previous month. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2022 when the average export price increased by 8% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $11,894 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($11,971 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($1,397 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hong Kong SAR (+0.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average winding wire of copper import price stood at $11,884 per ton in July 2023, falling by -1.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 6.9% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $12,294 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Japan ($16,467 per ton) and China ($11,248 per ton), while the price for Malaysia ($11,157 per ton) and South Korea ($11,220 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+0.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Exports of Winding Wire of Copper in Thailand
