In 2022, the average import price for winding wire, other than of coppers amounted to $6,100 per ton, waning by -33% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a pronounced contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 87% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $9,098 per ton, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Saudi Arabia (+11.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the amount of winding wire, other than of coppers imported into Kuwait expanded to 344 tons, increasing by 2.5% against 2021. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 127% against the previous year.
