In February 2024, the average import price for wine; still, in containers holding 2 litres or lesses amounted to $3.5 per litre, rising by 7.4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In February 2024, the country with the highest price was France ($5.4 per litre), while the price for Uruguay ($3.1 per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to February 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period from February 2023 to February 2024, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2023 an increase of 12% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $1.8 per litre in September 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to February 2024.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In February 2024, the countries with the highest prices were the United States ($2.0 per litre) and Venezuela ($1.6 per litre), while the average price for exports to Paraguay ($1.4 per litre) and Haiti ($1.6 per litre) were amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to February 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, exports, however, showed significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 85%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 8M litres, and then shrank in the following year.
In value terms, exports of wine; still, in containers holding 2 litres or lesses rose notably to $11M in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate significant growth.
