The average export price for wine; still, in containers holding 2 litres or lesses stood at $3.1 per litre in January 2024, waning by -1.7% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2023 an increase of 8% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $3.2 per litre, and then fell modestly in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($4.5 per litre), while the average price for exports to Japan ($2.5 per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+9.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
