In November 2023, the average import price for wine; still, in containers holding more than 2 litreses amounted to $1.9 per litre, which is down by -3.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a temperate expansion from November 2022 to November 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.1% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on November 2023 figures, import price for wine; still, in containers holding more than 2 litreses decreased by -4.5% against September 2023 indices. The export price peaked in November 2023.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Georgia ($3.3 per litre), while the average price for exports to Estonia ($2.2 per litre) was amongst the lowest.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 7.1% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $6.4M, and then reduced in the following year.
