The average import price for wire of other alloy steels stood at $1,519 per ton in 2022, surging by 88% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 180% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $11,885 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
