In 2022, the average export price for wood amounted to $20 per cubic meter, reducing by -5.7% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated strong growth from 2017 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +14.1% over the last five-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for wood increased by +93.5% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $21 per cubic meter in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Japan.
