The average import price for wood stood at $18.4 per cubic meter in December 2021, jumping by 22% against the previous month. Over the period from January 2021 to December 2021, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($37.5 per cubic meter), while the price for France ($5.6 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for wood amounted to $135 per cubic meter, with an increase of 235% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate significant growth. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($307 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Barbados ($61 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
