In 2022, the average wood; posts and beams import price amounted to $1,122 per ton, falling by -17.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a deep reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average import price increased by 61% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $2,227 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a buoyant increase. From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+15.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
