The average wood; posts and beams import price stood at $1,212 per ton in November 2021, waning by -15.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a measured expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2021 when the average import price increased by 37% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $1,623 per ton in August 2021; however, from September 2021 to November 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2021, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($1,684 per ton), while the price for Poland ($1,079 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2020 to November 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average wood; posts and beams export price stood at $1,309 per ton in November 2021, which is down by -31.9% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, saw a mild increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2021 an increase of 21% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $2,326 per ton in September 2021; however, from October 2021 to November 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was France ($2,629 per ton), while the average price for exports to Luxembourg ($838 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2020 to November 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+5.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Wood; Posts and Beams in Germany
