The average import price for wood; shuttering for concrete constructional work stood at $1,376 per ton in November 2023, surging by 4.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 18% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,763 per ton. From May 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,830 per ton), while the price for Lithuania ($907 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovakia (+1.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
