The average export price for wood; statuettes and other ornaments of wood stood at $33,066 per ton in December 2021, which is down by -31.4% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, showed a remarkable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2021 an increase of 191% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $64,411 per ton in August 2021; however, from September 2021 to December 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In December 2021, the country with the highest price was Germany ($143K per ton), while the average price for exports to Lithuania ($10,105 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+30.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
