In 2022, the average import price for wood; statuettes and other ornaments of wood amounted to $4,506 per ton, growing by 10% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 22%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $7,009 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $13,336 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Hungary ($9,958 per ton) and Greece ($9,473 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($8,216 per ton) and Slovakia ($8,282 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+8.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
