Price for Worked Flat Glass in Croatia (CIF) - 2023
The average worked flat glass import price stood at $5,263 per ton in July 2023, with a decrease of -27.5% against the previous month. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 227% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $14,809 per ton. From May 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($39,725 per ton), while the price for Serbia ($754 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+26.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Price for Worked Flat Glass in Croatia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average worked flat glass export price amounted to $12,766 per ton, remaining stable against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 86% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($15,442 per ton), while the average price for exports to Switzerland ($3,704 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (+13.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Worked Flat Glass in Croatia
For the third year in a row, Croatia recorded decline in purchases abroad of worked flat glass, which decreased by -0.8% to 1.3K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a noticeable contraction.
In value terms, worked flat glass imports surged to $5M in 2022.
