The average export price for yarn; of jute or of other textile bast fibres, singles stood at $751 per ton in 2022, rising by 22% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a perceptible setback. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $1,562 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Uganda.
