The average import price for yarn; of jute or of other textile bast fibres, singles stood at $1,195 per ton in 2022, approximately reflecting the previous year. In general, import price indicated a moderate increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. In value terms, imports of yarn; of jute or of other textile bast fibres, singles contracted sharply to $5.2K in 2022. Overall, imports saw a dramatic setback.
