In July 2023, the average import price for zinc; dust, powders and flakeses amounted to $3,517 per ton, falling by -2% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate mild growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 100% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $6,773 per ton. From December 2022 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($8,992 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($3,173 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Switzerland (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
