The average export price for zinc; plates, sheets, strip and foils stood at $4,370 per ton in November 2023, declining by -2.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a slight decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 6.3% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $5,273 per ton. From May 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was India ($7,238 per ton), while the average price for exports to Switzerland ($4,503 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In general, the import price recorded a slight increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 23% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $4,878 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to November 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Peru.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Poland amounted to +20.7% per month.
