The average export price for zinc; unwrought, (not alloyed), containing by weight 99.99% or more of zincs stood at $3,433 per ton in 2022, growing by 13% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +7.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for zinc; unwrought, (not alloyed), containing by weight 99.99% or more of zincs increased by +39.7% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 29%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ethiopia ($7,233 per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($1,116 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+14.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.4%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 30% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $3,235 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($4,077 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($2,031 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+8.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Over the period under review, exports faced a deep contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 99%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $17M, and then reduced sharply in the following year.
