Price for Zinc; Waste and Scrap in Germany (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average zinc; waste and scrap export price amounted to $2,168 per ton, remaining constant against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a slight setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 8.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $2,707 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($2,943 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($1,512 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In July 2023, the average zinc; waste and scrap import price amounted to $1,854 per ton, increasing by 47% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a slight descent. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $2,485 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from the Czech Republic ($2,105 per ton) and France ($1,977 per ton), while the price for Austria ($1,509 per ton) and Denmark ($1,887 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Denmark (-0.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Exports of Zinc; Waste and Scrap in Germany
In 2022, exports of zinc; waste and scraps from Germany expanded slightly to 48K tons, picking up by 2.4% compared with the previous year.
