Price for Zinc; Waste and Scrap in Hungary (FOB) - 2023

The average zinc; waste and scrap export price stood at $1,994 per ton in July 2023, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 when the average export price increased by 29% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,430 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a mild contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 34% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,815 per ton. From 2016 to 2021, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
