Price for Zinc; Waste and Scrap in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2023

In July 2023, the average zinc; waste and scrap export price amounted to $2,024 per ton, reducing by -4.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price saw a mild downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 3% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $2,356 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to July 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In July 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to India ($2,081 per ton) and Belgium ($2,036 per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($1,668 per ton) and Germany ($1,962 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Thailand (+11.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
