In 2022, approx. 113 tons of currants and gooseberries were produced in Bulgaria; surging by 50% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, production, however, saw a abrupt contraction. Currant and gooseberry production peaked at 200 tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, production stood at a somewhat lower figure.
