In 2022, the amount of apparel of leather or of composition leather produced in Italy surged to 8.8M units, increasing by 47% compared with 2021. In general, production, however, saw a abrupt decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the production volume increased by 76%. As a result, production reached the peak volume of 14M units. From 2021 to 2022, production growth remained at a lower figure.
