Rye Production in Uzbekistan - 2022
In 2022, production of rye in Uzbekistan skyrocketed to 4.5K tons, picking up by 18% against the year before. Over the period under review, production, however, continues to indicate a slight decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 550% against the previous year. As a result, production reached the peak volume of 5.2K tons. From 2021 to 2022, production growth failed to regain momentum. Rye output in Uzbekistan indicated a mild descent, which was largely conditioned by a mild reduction of the harvested area and a pronounced expansion in yield figures.
In value terms, rye production skyrocketed to $836K in 2022 estimated in export price. In general, production, however, recorded a noticeable curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 484% against the previous year. As a result, production reached the peak level of $1.1M. From 2021 to 2022, production growth failed to regain momentum.
Rye Harvested Area in Uzbekistan - 2022
In 2022, the total area harvested in terms of rye production in Uzbekistan skyrocketed to 450 ha, with an increase of 21% compared with 2021. In general, the harvested area, however, continues to indicate a perceptible reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. The rye harvested area peaked at 558 ha in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the harvested area failed to regain momentum.
Rye Yield in Uzbekistan - 2022
The average yield of rye in Uzbekistan shrank modestly to 10 tons per ha in 2022, which is down by -1.8% against 2021. In general, the yield, however, continues to indicate a pronounced increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 449% against the previous year. The rye yield peaked at 10 tons per ha in 2021, and then reduced slightly in the following year.
