Vegetable Product Production in Indonesia - 2022
For the third consecutive year, Indonesia recorded growth in production of vegetable products, which increased by 0.6% to 33M tons in 2022. The total output volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.9% over the period from 2017 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the production volume increased by 9.8%. Vegetable product production peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the near future. Vegetable product output in Indonesia indicated a tangible increase, which was largely conditioned by a notable increase of the harvested area and a relatively flat trend pattern in yield figures.
In value terms, vegetable product production expanded rapidly to $75.3B in 2022 estimated in export price. Overall, production enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 71% against the previous year. As a result, production attained the peak level of $84B. From 2021 to 2022, production growth remained at a lower figure.
