Pumpkin Price in Denmark (CIF) - 2023
In September 2023, the average pumpkin import price amounted to $2,052 per ton, with an increase of 8.7% against the previous month. Over the period from October 2022 to September 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 27% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $2,576 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to September 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Turkey.
From October 2022 to September 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Italy amounted to +4.8% per month.
Pumpkin Price in Denmark (FOB) - 2023
The average pumpkin export price stood at $2,721 per ton in September 2023, growing by 17% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 251% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,966 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to September 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Norway ($4,559 per ton), while the average price for exports to Iceland ($870 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Norway (+21.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
