The average quartzite import price stood at $480 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 8.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a slight reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 47%. The import price peaked at $901 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
