Quartzite Price in Ukraine (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average quartzite export price amounted to $33 per ton, with an increase of 47% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated buoyant growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, quartzite export price increased by +23.0% against 2019 indices. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($63 per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovakia ($19 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The import price peaked at $791 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($85,617 per ton), while the price for Russia totaled $722 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+40.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Quartzite Exports in Ukraine
In 2022, the amount of quartzite exported from Ukraine declined significantly to 114K tons, with a decrease of -31.2% compared with 2021. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 75%.
