Quinoa Price in Slovakia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average quinoa import price amounted to $2,936 per ton, falling by -6.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 57% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $8,779 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($8,500 per ton), while the price for Peru ($1,836 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+9.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Quinoa Price in Slovakia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average quinoa export price amounted to $3,946 per ton, reducing by -7.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a abrupt setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 36%. The export price peaked at $6,640 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($6,580 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($2,581 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2014 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+6.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Quinoa Imports in Slovakia

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -10.4% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 61%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $258K. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
