Radiator Price in the UK (CIF) - 2023
In May 2023, the average radiator import price amounted to $3,378 per ton, surging by 23% against the previous month. Over the period from May 2022 to May 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In May 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($26,502 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($2,243 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+19.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Radiator Price in the UK (FOB) - 2022
The average radiator export price stood at $6,128 per ton in 2021, with an increase of 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price posted a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 52%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($12,193 per ton), while the average price for exports to Iceland ($1,789 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+10.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Radiator Imports in the UK
Radiator imports into the UK contracted markedly to 133K tons in 2022, with a decrease of -21.9% against 2021. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 35% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 170K tons, and then shrank remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, radiator imports dropped to $404M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +9.6% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +39.3% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 63% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $474M, and then shrank in the following year.
