In 2022, the average rare earth metal import price amounted to $21,146 per ton, with an increase of 99% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $38,171 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($248,461 per ton), while the price for the UK ($9,850 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (-3.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($363,519 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine stood at $66,095 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+23.9%).
Rare Earth Metal Imports in Poland
In 2022, imports of rare earth metals into Poland shrank significantly to 626 kg, with a decrease of -97.3% against the previous year's figure.
