Rare Gases Price in Poland (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average rare gases export price amounted to $50 per cubic meter, dropping by -10.7% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, enjoyed moderate growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the average export price increased by 44%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $56 per cubic meter in 2021, and then declined in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($58 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Israel ($27 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+145.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Rare Gases Price in Poland (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average rare gases import price amounted to $24 per cubic meter, standing approx. at the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a perceptible shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 14%. The import price peaked at $37 per cubic meter in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Algeria ($51 per cubic meter), while the price for China ($4.4 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Algeria (+9.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Rare Gases Exports in Poland
In 2022, the amount of rare gases (excluding argon) exported from Poland rose significantly to 1.1M cubic meters, growing by 12% on 2021. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.2% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 26%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 1.2M cubic meters. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, rare gases exports reached $55M in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +16.1% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports decreased by -11.9% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 77% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $62M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Rare Gases Imports in Poland
In 2022, overseas purchases of rare gases (excluding argon) decreased by -19.2% to 430K cubic meters, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, imports recorded a noticeable reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 33%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 659K cubic meters. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, rare gases imports reduced sharply to $10M in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 45% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $15M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
