In September 2022, the average raspberry and blackberry import price amounted to $27,575 per ton, growing by 2.8% against the previous month. Overall, import price indicated a notable increase from September 2021 to September 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.6% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2022 figures, raspberry and blackberry import price increased by +54.9% against March 2022 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2022 when the average import price increased by 39% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure in September 2022.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was the United States ($27,091 per ton), while the price for South Africa amounted to $26,330 per ton.
