Reclaimed Rubber Price in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average reclaimed rubber export price amounted to $910 per ton, with a decrease of -6.6% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4%. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 14% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,057 per ton. From May 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Romania ($1,179 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($333 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+7.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Reclaimed Rubber Price in the Netherlands (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average reclaimed rubber import price amounted to $1,339 per ton, with an increase of 2.9% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 22% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,370 per ton. From June 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were China ($1,723 per ton) and Ireland ($1,417 per ton), while the price for Spain ($1,160 per ton) and France ($1,224 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Reclaimed Rubber Exports in the Netherlands
For the fourth year in a row, the Netherlands recorded growth in shipments abroad of reclaimed rubber, which increased by 44% to 50K tons in 2022. In general, exports enjoyed a significant expansion. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
