Refined Maize Oil Price in Australia (CIF) - 2023
The average refined maize oil import price stood at $1,804 per ton in July 2023, reducing by -20.9% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a perceptible descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 153% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $5,682 per ton. From March 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($3,338 per ton), while the price for China ($1,119 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average refined maize oil export price amounted to $3,027 per ton, picking up by 29% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a mild setback.
