Refined Olive Oil Price in the Czech Republic (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average refined olive oil import price amounted to $7,443 per ton, rising by 15% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price enjoyed a prominent expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 154% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $8,399 per ton. From December 2022 to August 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($8,835 per ton), while the price for Greece ($2,430 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+6.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Refined Olive Oil Price in the Czech Republic (FOB) - 2023
The average refined olive oil export price stood at $7,874 per ton in August 2023, increasing by 9.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price enjoyed measured growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 103% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $8,332 per ton in October 2022; however, from November 2022 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In August 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Slovakia ($8,072 per ton) and Romania ($7,969 per ton), while the average price for exports to Croatia ($7,169 per ton) and Bulgaria ($7,589 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (+5.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Refined Olive Oil Imports in the Czech Republic
In 2022, supplies from abroad of refined olive oil was finally on the rise to reach 1.2K tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, imports enjoyed buoyant growth. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
