Sausage Price in Croatia (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average sausage export price amounted to $4,852 per ton, declining by -3.5% against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.0%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 35% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $5,642 per ton. From May 2023 to June 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($8,346 per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($3,426 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bosnia and Herzegovina (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average sausage import price stood at $3,961 per ton in June 2023, growing by 3% against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 11% m-o-m. The import price peaked in June 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Austria ($8,726 per ton), while the price for Italy ($2,675 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
