Sausage Price in Kenya (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average sausage export price amounted to $3,508 per ton, leveling off at the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 24% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $3,972 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Rwanda ($4,974 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tanzania ($2,600 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Rwanda (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Sausage Price in Kenya (CIF) - 2022
The average sausage import price stood at $2,254 per ton in 2022, falling by -4.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a perceptible descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average import price increased by 46%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $5,065 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
