The average semiconductor device import price stood at $0.5 per unit in 2022, reducing by -13.4% against the previous year. In general, the import price faced a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 6.1%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $2 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($3.3 per unit), while the price for Russia ($0.1 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+6.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
