Shelled Bean Price in Portugal (CIF) - 2024
In January 2024, the average shelled bean import price amounted to $1,640 per ton, shrinking by -12% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 when the average import price increased by 47% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $1,950 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to January 2024, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2024, the highest price was recorded for prices from Spain ($1,860 per ton) and Canada ($1,711 per ton), while the price for Madagascar ($1,426 per ton) and Peru ($1,577 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ethiopia (+11.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Shelled Bean Price in Portugal (FOB) - 2022
The average shelled bean export price stood at $1,479 per ton in 2022, rising by 4% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 29% against the previous year.
