Shelled Bean Price in the Netherlands (CIF) - 2024
In January 2024, the average shelled bean import price amounted to $1,610 per ton, which is down by -1.5% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 169% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $2,068 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to January 2024, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Thailand ($4,021 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($603 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+14.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Shelled Bean Price in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2024
In January 2024, the average shelled bean export price amounted to $752 per ton, which is down by -75.2% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a deep slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2023 when the average export price increased by 348% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $3,207 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to January 2024, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the UK ($8,341 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($400 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+12.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Shelled Bean Imports in the Netherlands
Shelled bean imports into the Netherlands skyrocketed to 3.1K tons in 2022, with an increase of 122% on 2021 figures. In general, imports saw prominent growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
