Shelled Hazelnut Price in Hungary (CIF) - 2022
The average shelled hazelnut import price stood at $6,962 per ton in 2022, falling by -1.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, posted a notable expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 144% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $11,179 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($9,756 per ton), while the price for Poland ($5,942 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+11.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average shelled hazelnut export price amounted to $10,620 per ton, waning by -3.8% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 131%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $11,040 per ton in 2021, and then contracted slightly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Montenegro ($12,488 per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($7,927 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+9.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
