Shrimp Price in Kazakhstan (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average shrimp import price amounted to $7,184 per ton, surging by 22% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.7%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the average import price increased by 22%. The import price peaked at $7,842 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($9,349 per ton), while the price for Denmark ($5,291 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Greenland (+53.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
