In 2022, the average shrimp import price amounted to $7,434 per ton, picking up by 2.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a noticeable setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 3.7%. The import price peaked at $10,109 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Ecuador ($7,524 per ton), while the price for Spain amounted to $6,633 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (-1.0%).
Shrimp Imports in Paraguay
