In May 2023, the average shrimp import price amounted to $9,975 per ton, picking up by 6.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 12% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $10,306 per ton. From April 2023 to May 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Estonia ($23,366 per ton), while the price for Poland ($4,246 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
